About Me
Where do I start? I've been in Butte since I was 4 years old. A graduate of Butte High School and Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington, I was a legal clerk in the United States Attorney's office for Montana in Butte for 10 years. I taught dance to students of all ages for 10 years. I have been heavily involved in volunteerism for many years.
Here's what I've done:
- I was Butte Board of Realtors Sales Person of the Year for 2002 and the Butte Board’s Realtor® of the Year for 2001. This award is based on community activity and contributions to the profession. It is awarded by fellow local Realtors. I’ve been a Realtor® since 1998. My first year as a Realtor® I became Director on the Butte Board of Realtors. The second year I was elected Vice-President of the local Board. I’ve been RPAC Local Liaison since 2000. I’m also Past-President of the Butte Board of Realtors. Currently I serve as a Trustee on the Montana Association of Realtors RPAC Committee, and President-Elect of the Montana Chapter CRS. I work well with all agents in the community and I operate with a very high standard of ethical practice.
- I have earned the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation. This designation is earned after completing several advanced courses, have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate, and documented the required number of residential transactions. Despite all the extra expertise we receive, a Certified Residential Specials does not cost any more than any other Realtor® to Buyers or Sellers. In fact, the skills and know-how those clients receive with a Certified Residential Specialist may actually save them time and money. Home buyers and sellers can be assured that CRS Designees subscribe to the strict Realtor® Code of Ethics, have access to the latest technology and are specialist in helping clients maximize profits and minimize costs when buying and selling a home. Of more than a million members of the National Association of Realtors, on 35,000 have the CRS Designation.
- I have earned the Accredited Buyers Representative Designation (ABR). To get this designation, I had to complete an extensive classroom training program on buyer agency practices and procedures, pass a written examination and submit evidence of practical experience as a Buyer's Representative.
- Junior League of Butte - I've been a member for over 25 years and served as chairman of many committees and also President of the organization.
- Auxiliary to the American Optometric Association - served on the state level in many capacities including State President. Served on the National level for five years, the last year serving as National President of the organization which is now known as the American Foundation for Vision Awareness.
- Butte / Silver Bow Arts Foundation - six-year term with the last two as President.
- Volunteered for MDA fundraising.
- Volunteered at the World Museum of Mining in Butte.
